Mandy is a mother, wife, writer, dancer, healer and channel. She is constantly engaged in her own evolutionary process and encourages her clients to step boldly into their own. She is a lifelong physical learner, starting her pursuits at the age of four with ballet and tap classes at the local YMCA. She feels most at home when her body is in motion.

A movement session with Mandy is an amalgam of Pilates, developmental movement patterns, and hands on energy work and will vary greatly depending on the state you find yourself in on any given day. She enjoys helping people recover from specific injury or trauma and loves unwinding puzzles within the human body. She encourages people to settle into their bodies and find a deeper connection from the inside. She approaches each session intuitively with her practical knowledge of anatomy and movement.

Mandy is the Founder of Embodied Integration, a healing methodology that helps people connect to the wisdom within themselves to help facilitate their own healing. She began developing Embodied Integration after she was certified in Pilates by Madeline Black in 2001. It is deeply healing and is continuously evolving as a co-creative process with each person with whom she works. Her work helps you get to the root of whatever trauma is residing in your body, and helps you move through the process of acknowledging and shifting those patterns. In addition to personal Energy sessions Mandy does energetic space clearings of both homes and businesses.

She works with clients one on one in movement sessions utilizing the Pilates equipment, as well as in private Energy sessions in a smaller treatment room and Physical Trauma Treatment sessions which facilitate the healing of acute injury or trauma. Her work focuses on connecting you to the root of your own inner narrative, whatever that may be, and unwinding that narrative physically and energetically to help you move forward with ease.

She opened Body Mechanics shorty after relocating to Portland from San Francisco in 2007. Her desire was to create a space where people could feel safe and comfortable in exploring their own transformation process. As the studio has grown she has been blessed with a group of incredible healers and movement practitioners to share the space with her. Body Mechanics is a space that fosters each practitioners’ unique healing gifts, while honoring the journey each person takes on his or her own healing path.
