with Dr. Molly Ouellette
Chiropractic care is a physical medicine which focuses on the body’s skeletal, muscular, and nervous system. It can help address issues such as headaches, lower back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, rib pain, sciatica, IT band syndrome, TMJ or jaw pain, and shoulder tension. Whether your problem is new, chronic, or just nagging, chiropractic care can be beneficial in your body finding balance and improved function. Using different types of hands on care, Dr. Molly Ouellette is able to address the underlying source of your complaint.
At the first visit, Dr. Ouellette will review your paperwork and ask questions regarding your chief complaint and general health. After an examination, she explains the diagnosis and treatment. There is plenty of time to ask questions and everything is thoroughly explained before treatment starts. Usually, treatment can begin the same day. Treatments involve many different procedures, such as chiropractic adjusting of the spine, arms, or legs, myofascial release, pin and stretch release, gua sha, craniosacral therapy, rehabilitation exercises, stretching, traction, and ergonomic changes. This first visit is about an hour long.
At follow up visits, there is a brief check in to see how you responded to care. Treatment is tailored to what is happening with your body that day. Stretches, exercises, and activities to do at home are reviewed at the end. These usually take 20 minutes.
